Freelance Science and Reading/ELA Assessment Writers

Northeast Editing, Inc. is a leading provider of digital and print content. We partner with some of the largest educational publishers in the country to produce engaging, innovative, and high-quality learning materials. Due to our substantial business growth, we are expanding our pool of freelance science and reading/ELA assessment writers.

Science assessment writers should be able to develop items in one or more scientific disciplines, such as chemistry, physics, and biology, and correlate items to national and state standards.

Reading/ELA assessment writers should be able to create original passages appropriate to a particular grade level and write and correlate items to national and state standards.

Selected candidates will be asked to complete an item-writing test and will be compensated for their time. Please email resume and brief cover letter to tracey@ne-edit.com (Tracey Biscontini). Science writers should indicate the scientific discipline(s) in which they are most comfortable. Both science writers and reading/ELA writers should indicate the grade levels in which they have the most experience. No phone calls please.
